Chili-Cheeseburgers

Growing up, my siblings & I called these "gooshy-burgers," or Sloppy Joes With Attitude. At the time, we kids couldn't fully appreciate how easy this dish is to make, serve, and freeze for a later meal.
Serves 4-6.

Directions:

  1. Brown the meat & onions, and drain off the fat
  2. Put meat/onion mixture in a Dutch Oven (large pot) and stir in soup and chili powder until well blended.
  3. Cook 5-10 minutes over Medium heat, until mixture is steaming hot.
  4. Turn off heat, and quickly stir in cheese until it melts.
  5. Serve over open-faced buns.
